Before you start, create a pipeline artifact with rows and create the target object type if it does not exist. Select your project and ontology in Ontologies.

Connect the output

  1. Open Ontology writers. Choose List, then select your target object type.
  2. Select + beside Connected writers.
  3. Enter a name, choose the Source pipeline and Pipeline output, and select a Write mode. Use Create objects + update properties to add new records and update matches.
  4. Select Create draft writer, then choose the artifact version to use in its preview.

Map and apply

  1. Under Identity, choose the artifact field that matches the object’s identifier, such as buyer_id for Buyer ID. Use a stable, unique value for each record.
  2. Under Property mapping, choose an Ontology property for each field you want to write. Auto-map matches compatible fields with the same name. Check its choices and leave unwanted fields as Ignore.
  3. Keep On new version set to Review first, select Save, then select the play icon (Activate writer).
  4. Select Dry run and review the proposed counts. Use Preview updates when updates are proposed to check the current and new values.
  5. Select Apply now to write the reviewed artifact version. Then open the records in your ontology to check the result.
Under On new version, keep Review first to review future changes before applying them. Choose Apply automatically when you want future versions written automatically.
