# Create a project

> Create a project to keep related data, analysis, and apps together.

1. Open [**Projects**](https://app.cord.nyc/projects).
2. Select **New project**.
3. Enter a name, such as **Capex planning**, and an optional description.
4. Select **Create project**.

Your new project becomes active, and you are its **Owner**.
