# Connect a data source

> Connect an external service so your project can use it in Cord.

1. Open [**Connections**](https://app.cord.nyc/connections) with your project selected.
2. Select the service you want to use.
3. If it is not connected, select its connect button and complete the setup prompts.
4. Select **Add to project** if shown. Once added, **Project access** is on.

Connecting an account and giving a project access are separate steps. Repeat **Add to project** for each project that needs the connection.

If the connection supports data feeds, [create a feed](/create-data-feed#use-a-connection) to choose which data to bring in.

To remove a project's access, open the connection and turn off **Project access**.
